Does this mean the cymbals will be changed to get a real 3-zone-cymbal? Or do the current 2Box owners have to live with the 2.5-zone-cymbals?

Manfred

they are 3-zone.

Of course you can trigger 3 different sounds so from this point of view you are right. But as Developer mentioned it is still a compromise because its not possible to trigger quite bell sounds.

For cymbals, perhaps there is possibility to combine the two triggering detections (by waves and levels)?

raise the gain a little bit and try if that helps.

Thanks that seemed to work, though it's still not triggering perfectly - I now sometimes get a bell sound when hitting the bow. I think I preferred how it triggered in the previous version.

I have gain +4 on the ride

What do you have the threshold set to? No matter how hard I hit the bell with a gain of +4 I only get the bow sound.

Hi Alex also remember some ride samples have a more prominent bell sound, check other ride samples in the module to make sure its not just that sample that requires more gain for the bell to sound properly...

Hello my friends

I have a little question about the new features : in fact it's more a problem : I can't choose the output in the Unit-Node section. If I choose output 1-2 for the kick, everything is set up for outputs 1-2. And it's the same thing for any outputs/fader I choose.

I also saw that now I have a exclamation mark under "CHAN" which is set up as 1!
Any explanations ??

Thanks for your help !

Best,
Florian

Hi Mandubien

you can choose the outputs you want in the node section, it can be 1+2 for the kick, 3 for the toms or 7+8 for the cymbals....??

I'm not a specialist in midi, but the exclamation mark under CHAN is the common midi channel wich is set in the unit-midi menu (CHAN).

Salut Nono !

No I cannot chosse the output. If I change for the kick for example, it will be the same for the others. If I rechange for the others, then it still will be the same for all. So at the end I can choose only one output (or output pair).

Have you tried to save first your "Drumit.Dkit" file, so it will be converted in the new file format? (UNIT, menu mix and Save?).

Yep, and it does not change anything. I'm gonna try to reinstall the OS. Maybe the writing process had a problem.

[EDIT] So even after I reinstalled the OS, I still have the same problem. If someone has a solution....

[EDIT 2] I found something : if I press the kick button (on the left), then I can choose output 1. Then if I press snare button, I can choose another output. So it seems it works that way. However, if I press tom 3, it's written kick under FADER  ??? Very strange though ! Anyway, if it works, it's ok for me !

Alex

Has anyone else had issues adjusting the hi-hat volume using the mix page? All the other faders seem to work fine, however when I try the hi-hat fader nothing happens - the volume stays at exactly the same, regardless of whether the fader is all the way up or down.

Hi, no issues for me with the hihat volume in the mix page.
