Triggering Ezdrummer/Superior drummer

Hello,

I am kinda new to the using the 2box to control virtual instruments, so I could use some tips. I want to trigger Superior drummer or Ez drummer from the 2box. Kicks, snares and toms are no issue. But I wondering how much hassle would it be to use the hihat function? I noticed that both these drum plugins use modulation to open the hats sound (the same as 2box) but when I set the midi note on the hats to fire the Ez drummer/Superior drummer plugin, it doesn't open and close when the hihat does. So what I am doing wrong?

Hi, you will need to map the midi notes from your module into your software etc... I.e. The hats run on midi notes A1, A#1 and B2, this is for hats open, closed and foot control.. Make sure the corresponding notes are the same within software etc..... Also there are two different control values for the foot pedal. CC1 and CC4, this is changed on the module itself, (it's not an actual midi note but control settings) CC1 will transmit a simple on off for the hihat foot control, so just open or closed... And CC4 will transmit a constant control signal between open and closed, so you will get the hihat open 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 etc...( it's found on the hihat calibration page I think) if you press unit then scroll down...

Also something to note, the CC values have settings that go up and down (shown by arrows onscreen) so you will see CC1^ etc.... This will reverse the foot pedal up down action depending on the settings your software uses....

I had the same issues when setting up SSD4 , as it's default map settings were setup for roland midi notes, there were presets for several kits in the software but nothing for 2Box.....
