Have taken delivery of my drumit5. I bought it because I heard the feel and the quality of the sounds were particularly good, and in this I have not been disappointed. There are a few things though that possibly could be better. 1.The stand seems really too flimsy (surprised there is no cross bracing) and I dislike the amount of wobble when you hit the bass drum. (aluminium is a brittle, unforgiving metal. I am slightly worried that it would be easy to overtighten screws and strip threads) I would have thought it better to have a third bar on the front stand with a rubberized bracket securing the top of the bass drum. Or to have a freestanding bass drum so as to avoid any stray triggering. 2.The instructions are really very poor and inaccurate 3. Very surprised that the promised software editor has not come out with the kit. 4. Will there be a metronome/coaching programs in further firmware updates. I really hope this kit does well. I admire the open source aspect and the upgradeability of the firmware (though more than 4gb and a removable flash memory card would have been nice) which is why I voted with my feet, sold my Roland and bought it. My last concern is at present it appears more a "work in progress" than a refined and developed product, and while buyers may put up with that for a while due to the fantastic sounds and playability, for it to succeed (from a manufacturing point of view) surely it needs to be every bit as bombproof as the Roland stuff. I am a little disappointed that the promised 8 mono outputs does not as yet exist and finally surely it would make commercial sense to sell the pads, cymbals and  brain together as a separate option as any gigging drummer is going to want to use better stands and kick pedal than those supplied. Despite the current flaws I can't help but love playing it though.

What Roland kit did you sell before you bought the 2Box?
How does the playability compare to the Roland kit?

It was only aTD3 (i have played the more expensive roland ones) but my point is the roland is nigh on indestructible and i never once thought about reliability. The 2box plays and sounds amazing but the general feel and build quality tells me that there are going to be issues and i would be concerned how it would stand up to gigging.

Just a different rack should give you greater stability. Different pads might  help too. I'm hoping I can use my Roland mesh pads for the snare and toms. I'll probably need to buy the 2box hihat as this is probably the hardest item to get full compatability with the module. Just gonna wait for pricing and when items are ready to sold separately.
