I know this has been posted before, but I cant find anything definitive. edrum attic looks to be closed. I tried contacting a few places by email, but no luck on response. I want to purchase 2 2box cymbals but not sure if it will be worth the cost. Feel free to chime in if you have experience on that =-) I can get two 14" Roland crashes for about 300 on ebay. Id rather have the 2box but I know roland is pretty solid with the 2box module.

Thanks

If "by solid"...you mean.."will work"...then yes...if you set the pad setting in module correctly....and then it will only be 2zone. Frankly....I would buy 2Box....and get full functionality that the module has to offer....or buy some kits from Jman and build  my own. Just my 2 cents. :)

In a few weeks(June) 2Box hardware will be offered in a number of places and be readily available in the  US.

Well the issue I'm having is that my cymbals aren't triggering properly anymore. I don't want to wait four to five weeks for the 2box cymbals to come in. So either I find some Roland symbols on eBay or hopefully a place that can ship from overseas.

Well..I'm sure someones got some somewhere you can get. ;) So...the cymbals you have are not repairable to at least tide you through until you can get exactly what you want...for a reasonable price and place of destination? The only reason I ask is that sometimes fixes are easy and OS cost and shipping could very well creep into the high side and into the time frame when they would be available locally anyway. IMO...Roland cymbals will work for you...but they are not ideal...especially for the ride.

my yamaha ride actually works very well, but its not their new stuff. I have PCY135s for crashes. The choke area can be triggered by a stick strike and on occasion, it will not register a strike at all. I dont bash the hell out of my stuff. Both cymbals are doing this. Ill make due as long as I can I suppose but it is frustrating.

Yeah...I hate it when my gear is not functioning up to par. Very frustrating....especially when trying to build adequate stuff. I've found that this is usually par for the course when mixing brands. They work ok for the most part...but there is always that one thing that isn't quite right or that doesn't live up to my expectations. I try to either build things specifically with the particular module in mind...either from scratch or with proven systems(like Jerry's) or just get the brand offerings. There seems to always be some sort of compromise though....feel...aesthetics...noise...etc. no  matter which I choose.
