My eyes! My eyes! ;D

As admin of the board I've got to apologise for the missing thread, although I haven't a clue how or why it happened, and it seems like the originator of the thread doesn't know either!

Cheers
Tom

You mean something like this?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DDRUM4-SNARE-PAD-DDRUM-ELECTRONIC-D-DRUM_W0QQitemZ250596817222QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Musical_Instruments_Drums_Percussions_MJ?hash=item3a58bbf946

edit: by the way, I've got mesh heads on my Cast Aluminium pads (the solid alu shells) - they work fine - the mesh sits directly on top of the foam. It's much quieter than having real heads on them, but they play much stiffer than the open rings of the later "open ring" DD4 pads and 2box pads.

Good luck :)

That does sound strange...I get nothing like that in BFD2.

Are you able to play the 2box drums via Midi

Have you tried any tools like MidiOx to see what messages / CCs are happening?

Salut Yoyo, bienvenue au forum :)

I think your post might be better in a new thread or answers might get lost!

Does ezdrummer respond okay to a midi keyboard? Is there latency?

A while back I bought a set of mesh heads for my DD4 - 3x10", 2x14" I think it was from Arcade Music (actually via ebay but you can get them direct too) - they were unbranded Arbiter heads and they're great. Good price too.

Hooray! One less bloody antipodean cluttering up our green and pleasant land :P

Only kidding, sorry to see you go. Some of my best friends are Australian :)

I think there are only a few dodgy heads that have slipped through the cracks of Quality Assurance...I guess it's very difficult to test or even see if it's going to happen before it does.

My advice is stay calm, and see if the shop you bought it from can get a replacement head to you quickly - or send a private message to Scott at Hand in Hand Distribution.

cheers
Tom

Hey Walter, I understand your pain man! But the fact there is so much demand for a brand new product from such a small and new company, is amazing - they are really dedicated to looking after their growing base of owners.

Show me a Roland forum where the lead software developer posts techincal specifications and asks questions about what people want to see next in the kit...Also, Scott from Hand in Hand (the UK distributor) has been working really hard to deal with customer service stuff for people all over Europe and beyond!

Believe me it's worth the wait, just hold on in there mate!

Setup guides and tips / Re: The BFD2 thread

You should be able to do it (the drum mapping) just the once in BFD2, and save it as a keymap, which you can then load into the other kits as you go along ...don't forget to save down your "preset" for each one, and that should combine all your mic settings, automation, tunings, and keymap etc.

Hi Westerlu
I changed BFD2 - my PC is fairly close to my kit, so i did the "hit the drum and assign the sound" method, on bfd'S midi mapping screen. The only change I made to the 2box was to reassign the HH to CC4.
